There is no doubt that the iPad is one of the most sought after gadgets of today. It has enjoyed that status since its launch some two years ago. People have welcomed the idea of bringing along a computer as thin as a notebook wherever they go. It can even now be considered an accessory because some people cannot leave the house without it.
Rumors have been spreading around that a smaller version of this huge hit tablet PC will be the next product to be launched in the next keynote address by Apple come September or even as late as October. Pictures of possible samples have popped up on various blog sites all over the Internet. No one can really be sure if those are authentic items or just made by speculators to add fuel to the fire. If this is true, you are sure to see people willing to sell iPads.
Cementing their Spot
Whether the rumors are true or not, some people believe that having a 7-inch tablet will help Apple in a big way. This will enable the company to expand its list of products. For now, they are already assured of their spot on top with the 9 to 10 inch tablet PCs but they do not have anything to offer to those looking for a smaller, much handier gadget. Also, a lot of people would like to own an Apple gadget but the price keeps them from doing so. There is no denying that Apple products are priced much higher compared to the other gadgets that can do the same thing. You can ask those who sell it. If they introduce a smaller version, it will for sure be priced much lower than the present price making it more affordable to more people. If they do this, they will be able to get the market of the tablets that are in the $200-$400 range.
Why Would You Want a Smaller iPad?
If rumors are true about the iPad Mini, people will surely be glad to snap this product up. If it retains most of the features of its older sibling, then people will not mind the price when buying it, even if Apple puts the price a bit higher than the Amazon Kindle, which is said to be its direct competitor if ever. Potential buyers of the iPad Mini 2 refurbished will surely snap this deal up because of its size. Since it is smaller, it is handier and more convenient to bring anywhere because it can fit into any bag you bring. Another thing, even if it is smaller, it is still an Apple product. Supporting the brand assures the buying public that what they are buying is something that is reliable and durable. We all know that Apple does not come out with products that are sloppy and easy to break down because their components are always top of the line. Also, having a iOS as its operating system makes it more attractive to those who are looking for serious computing power.
Apple has nothing to lose when they push through with their plans of coming out with the iPad Mini. Even though there is no basis for it and people only rely on rumors, they are already dreaming about this product and are thinking of ways to get cash for iPad. For sure, this will be as successful as when it was launched.
